Eva, I have a big group of friends. We go out, we laugh, everything’s fine.
But when I get home I feel lonelier than before. None of them know what I’m really going through, because I never say it.
Hello. There’s a kind of loneliness that doesn’t show from the outside: the one you feel among people. It doesn’t mean your friends don’t love you. It means they haven’t met all of you.
“No one can hold onto something you never showed them.”
You don’t need to tell everything to everyone. Pick one person from the group you feel closest to, and tell them something small and true: “I haven’t been doing so well lately.” Often, when you open one door, the other person opens theirs too.
Warmly, Eva
